Nucleo is a collective of artists and designers based in Turin, founded and
directed since 1997 by Piergiorgio Robino, visiting professor at the Polytechnic of
Turin, at the Domus Academy in Milan and the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem.
Piergiorgio Robino, (1969) born in Asti and lives and works in Turin, is known for
his continuous experimentation with new materials, resin has become his
distinctive material.
Nucleo is an atelier where a dozen designers, artists and artisans work, creating
a multi-handed work from which the works in resin, wood and metals are born,
which have history as their common denominator, in its most complete, past
meaning , present and future, manipulated and bent to the interests of creation,
investigating the human being through time. A research that is expressed in each
artifact, highlighting the original, three-dimensional material aspect that translates
into everyday objects.
